Writer VS. Author

Similarities and Differences:

There were more differences than similarities because not everyone believes everyone else is an author. Personally I think everyone can be a writer but not an author. That makes the question of who is correct. Is everyone an author? That answer is up to the individual to decide for themselves.

Formal essays	Enjoy but despise- I don’t mind writing essays if I have enough to say but I despise if I have to fill an entire 5 pages with random things I have no idea which is most essays
Driving Directions	Despise- I am horrible at navigating and it is hard to write directions for people because “the tree next to that one rock” doesn’t help

Letter: Hello Friend,

                I am throwing a party and am in need of your assistance. First I need you to drive to my house and pick me up. Then bring me to the store. At the store we will need to collectively pick out supplies appropriate for the party. Once all of the supplies are decided on we will split the bill to pay for all the supplies. After we complete our trip we will need to hurry home and set up the supples tastefully. Thankyou for all of your help.

Collaborative Writing on Writing

Writing is a thoughtful collaboration of words used to express certain ideas or thoughts. Writing can consist of formal or informal ideas used to persuade, explain, express, or compare topics.  Your persona drastically shifts based upon your target audience because you would not want to talk to a child the same way you would have an intellectual conversation with your professor. Both ways of communication are important but you have to know when to use one over the other. For example, writing an essay is a formal way of conveying your ideas, whereas a text message is a quick and informal way of communicating your thoughts.

Personal Bio

Hi my name is Jessica Kinsley and i am 18 years old. I just graduated and was not sure what i wanted to do with my life so i decided to go the cheaper, closer to home route such as Olympic college. I have an almost full time job and an equally time consuming spending habit. I also really like sleep which means being a full time student and having a full time job has given me a difficult first week. But with my impending caffeine addiction i just might make it to Friday.
